Reflections on the Quran & Sunnah

Reflections on the Words of Allah the Exalted (Even if their plan had been [sufficient] to do away with the mountains)

That whoever is subjected to plotting, scheming, and injustice—this indicates his greatness; because Allah measured it against the mountain, which is the greatest of His creations, and it is proof of the greatness of Muhammad ﷺ.

That whoever is subjected to plotting—the mountains pass away, yet he does not pass away; because of the utmost of Allah's protection of him, the perfection of His care, and the fullness of His encompassing knowledge of him

And it is proof of his being established in the land, however much the heavens and the earth scheme against him; because the mountains are firmly established in the land, yet they would pass away if subjected to plotting, while the righteous believer, if he is established in the land, stands firm like the mountains; his trace is neither erased nor effaced (They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it)

It contains proof that Muhammad ﷺ is greater than the mountains in steadfastness and uprightness, more firmly established than them, and greater in reach and in character (And indeed, you are of a great moral character).
