In Al-Baqarah: (Or do you think that you will enter Paradise…. until the Messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near) then came (They ask you what they should spend..)
When He wanted to affirm that victory would come without fail, while minds thought it unlikely because it was delayed in time, He mentioned, as complete affirmation and to remove all doubt, the rulings on spending the spoils of war!
That is: you will be given victory without fail and without doubt; and that is not what matters; what matters more is what you will do after the victory with the wealth and provision that come to you? Hold to the fear of Allah in it, and spend it in the way He has prescribed.
In Al Imran:
He mentioned the Battle of Badr (And already had Allah given you victory at Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah; perhaps you will be grateful) then He mentioned the prohibition of consuming usury (O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied..)
Fear Allah in the victory He gave you by thanking Him through leaving disobedience, so do not consume usury and go off into arrogance and insolence. Indeed, victory is one of the occasions for seeking forgiveness, for whoever is granted a conquest; and Allah commanded it to the Children of Israel when they entered (the city: Jerusalem), that they should say: ḥiṭṭah, meaning, O Allah, remove our sins from us; but they entered saying ḥinṭah (wheat), so they did not give thanks but disobeyed (And when We said, "Enter this city… and say, Ḥiṭṭah")
And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Makkah with his head lowered, reciting the verses of his Lord, seeking forgiveness (When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest, and you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes, then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance)
Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him.
