The righteous dream is a choosing from Allah the Exalted: that He selects you from among the creation and shows it to you.

(And thus will your Lord choose you) Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Yaqub says to his son Yusuf: just as your Lord has chosen you, and shown you these stars along with the sun and the moon prostrating to you.." so He will teach you the interpretation of dreams and complete His favor upon you by sending you as a messenger and revealing to you.
